Introduce yourselves and let us know what each of you do for the band if you would lads?
Yo, I’m Aaron and I play guitar. Ams handle the vocals, Tom plays the drums, and Small plays bass.
Lonewolves are relative newcomers to the scene, yet seem to have an already rabid following if you’ll excuse the pun. Do you think that playing this all dayer will open up some kids to the heavier, thrashier side of hardcore that you guys put out there?
We have a following? Hahaha. I hope so. The UK scene seems to be really divided at the moment. I mean, I’ve only been living here for 5 years, I’m originally from Texas. But that was one of the first things I noticed when i moved here. I hope we can get in kids heads and they’ll want to check out other bands focused on the heavier side of things and so on. All i really want is for kids to have fun.
Following on from that question, what five bands would you recommend to people reading this, hardcore or otherwise?
UK: Dead Swans, Jailbait, Rot in Hell, More Than Life, Rick James.
Everywhere else: Cursed, SLEEP, Wolves in the Throne Room, there’s so many man. I can’t really think right now.
Lets talk about your local scene. Besides yourself, who else should we look out for this year and who else should we already know about, but maybe don’t?
Rot in Hell, they’re not local though. (We’re from everywhere) They seem pretty unknown at the moment. Integrity, Ringworm worship. They recently signed to Deathwish Inc. which is dope for a UK band.
Royal Rumble is going to be a massive party, so do you care to share some of your less wholesome experiences with us? What essentials do you think you need to make sure everything goes to plan party wise?!
No comment haha. Just come find me, Dead Swans, More than Life, and some of the Gold Kids dudes. Thanks for the interview. Listen to Black Sabbath.
